Stewart O. Simonson

MONTELLO  -- Stewart O. Simonson, age  55, died on Thursday, July 1, 2010, at Mercy Hospital in Janesville.

Stewart was born on October 13, 1954, in Wisconsin, the son of Orrin and Helen (Haskins) Simonson.  He enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, and fishing.  He had worked in the plastic industry all of his life, currently working at Penda Corporation in Portage.

Stewart is survived by his mother, Helen Simonson, Portage; his children, Trina (Brian) Schultz, Portage, and Nathan (Crystal) Simonson, Windsor, his brothers, Steven (Debbie) Simonson, Las Vegas, Ricky Simonson, David (Linda) Simonson, and Darwin Simonson, all of Montello; his grandchildren, Mitchel, Nathanel, Ryan, Jessalyn, Spencer, and Keira; nephews Matt and Nicholas, other relatives and many friends.  Stewart was preceded in death by his father, Orrin, and his sister, Sharon Simonson, in infancy.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Monday, July 5, 2010, at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Portage, with Reverend Alan Boeck officiating.  Burial will follow in Pardeeville Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the services, on Monday, at the church.  The Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage is assisting the family.
