Marjory L. Elsner-Picchi

PORTAGE  –  Marjory L. Elsner-Picchi, age 81, passed away unexpectedly, on Thursday, December 9, 2010, at Divine Savior Healthcare Hospital in Portage. 

Marjory was born on October 28, 1929, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the daughter of Walter and Selma (Thompson) Beahm.  She was a long-time employee of Montgomery Ward.  Marjory loved music, dancing, and making crafts.  She was a member of PACT, a past Grand Chief of the Pythian Sisters, as well as a member of the Rebekahs and the Oddfellows.  Marjory was also a member of Portage United Methodist church where she was an active member of the choir.   

Marjory is survived by her daughters, Jill Werner, Janesville, and Johanna (David) Weith, Portage ; her grandchildren, Shawn and Angela Elsner, James Werner, and Amy, Courtney, Seth and Abbey Mossholder; her brother, Robert (Marion) Beahm, Portage, and many beloved nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Marjory was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, John Elsner, her second husband, Louis Picchi, and her sons, Jack D. Elsner, and Richard “Jiggs” Elsner.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 15, 2010, at Portage United Methodist Church in Portage, with Rev. Tom Countryman officiating.  Inurnment will be held in the spring, in Silver Lake Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, at the church.
