Ella "Pat" M. Paul

PORTAGE  -- Ella “Pat” M . Paul, age 87, died on Friday, August 6, 2010, at American Way, in Portage.

Pat was born on September 3, 1922, in Wadena, Iowa, the daughter of Myron and Ella (Popenhagen) Moore. She married Stanley R. Paul, Sr., at the Little Brown Church, in Nashua, Iowa on September 1, 1946.  Pat had worked at Divine Savior Hospital in the dietary department.  She loved to fish, all outdoor activities, music and dancing.  Pat was a member of Portage United Methodist Church. 

Pat is survived by five children, Cindy (Owen) Conroy, Lindstrom, MN, Pam (Doug) Paulson, Pardeeville, Chuck (Sally) Paul, Janesville, Stanley “Bud” Paul, Jr., Portage, and Donn (Cheryl) Paul, Portage;  15 grandchildren, Jenny, Bart, Ray, Robert, Susan, Tom, Steve, Michelle, Keith, Corey, Cheri, Rhea, Jessica, Nicholas, and Bryce;  many great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Norma Moore, Riceville, IA, nieces, nephews, other near relatives and many close friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Stanley, on March 6, 2008, an infant daughter, Becky Ann, her brothers, Joy Moore, M.J. Moore, and Cleo Moore, and her sisters, Eva Page and Vera Mabb Sabo.  

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m., on Saturday, August 7, 2010, at Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage, with Pastor Tom Countryman officiating.  Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Saturday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Home Health United Hospice, or the Alzheimers and Dementia Alliance of Wisconsin.
