Gary J. Mohr

WYOCENA  /  PORTAGE  --  Gary J. Mohr, age 63, of Wyocena, passed away on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison, surrounded by his family.

Gary was born on December 13, 1946 in Wausau, Wisconsin, the son of Norman and Dorothy (Sutherland) Mohr.  He was married on July 6, 1974 to Vera Wiedeman.  Gary had worked as a mechanic for Samuels Recycling and AMPI.  He was an avid deer hunter and fisherman.  Gary enjoyed spending his summers on Lake Michigan.

He is survived by his wife, Vera;  his daughter, Heidi (fiance, Shawn), Adams;  three grandsons, Jaime, Keelin, and Jonathan;  his brother, Larry (Nancy) Mohr, Montello;  three sisters, Nancy Dayton, West Bend, Shirley Amond, Two Rivers, and Jean Nelson, Wausau;  his best fishing buddy, Tom;  Gary’s sidekick, Sam, his dog;  many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.  He was preceded in death by his father, Norman Mohr, his mother, Dorothy Kees, and his step-father, Lloyd Kees.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, November 5, 2010 at the Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage, with the Rev. Dick Inglett officiating.  Inurnment will be private.  Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 4:00 p.m. on Friday at the Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage.
