Michele Christine McWilliams

ALEXANDRIA, KENTUCKY/PORTAGE  -- Michele Christine McWilliams born on January 5, 1966 died August 16, 2010.  Michele passed away in Alexandria, Kentucky after a yearlong battle with cancer.

She is survived by her mother, Pat (Bill) Mitchell; her father, Mike (Marilyn) McWilliams; son, Steven McWilliams; brother, Michael (Kathy) McWilliams; step-sisters, Tammi (Jason) Artz, Mandi (Michael) Miller, Kim (Seth) Carroll; step-brother, Joe (Jessica) Kowlaski; adopted family, Scott and Cheryl Simer and her beloved Mandy Berry; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends. She was preceded by her sister, Patty McWilliams; her sons father, Timothy Hansen; step-father, Bill Mitchell; maternal grandparents, Ed and Helen Griffith; paternal grandparents, Jack and Rose McWilliams.

Shelly lived in Alexandria, Kentucky and was active in her deaf community. She enjoyed her family, friends, her cat, Lucky, and life to the fullest.

Graveside services for family and close friends will be held Saturday, August 21, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Pacific Cemetery with a lunch to follow at St. Mary School in Portage. Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage is assisting the family.
