Harlan N. Davison

PORTAGE  –  Harlan N. Davison, age 80, passed away on Monday, October 25, 2010, at Meriter Hospital in Madison. 

Harlan was born on May 11, 1930 in Milwaukee, the son of Russel and Vera (Summers) Davison.  He was married on September 22, 1951 to Colleen Crawford.  Harlan worked his entire career as an auditor for the State of Wisconsin, Conservation Department and Department of Administration.  He served his country with the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.  Harlan was a member of the Briggsville Rebekah Lodge #211, the Portage Odd Fellows, the Portage Curling Club, the American Legion, Triad SALT Committee, a very active member of the Portage Kiwanis Club, and had served on the Columbia County Board for several years.

He is survived by his wife, Colleen Davison, Portage;  his son, Harlan (Joleen) Davison, Antigo, and their children, Kyle Davison, Madison, Britta Davison, Antigo, Dave (Quinn) Williams and their daughter, Hannah Williams, Clearwater, FL, and Aaron (Kelly) Williams, Madison;  his daughter, Marley (John) Stuhler, Sun Prairie, and their children, Katie Stuhler, Des Moines, IA, and John Stuhler, Sun Prairie;  his sister, Phyllis Russell, Ruidoso, New Mexico;  his aunt, Ethel Davis, Portage;  his brother-in-law, Herb Hilgendorf, Portage;  nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.  Harlan was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Donna Hilgendorf, and a daughter-in-law, Pamela Okan Davison.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 28, 2010 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Portage, with the Rev. Dick Inglett officiating.  Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday in Silver Lake Cemetery, with military honors provided by Portage area veterans.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 28, 2010 from 8:30 a.m. until 11:15 a.m. at the church.  There will be a Rebekah and Odd Fellow service at 11:15 a.m. on Thursday at the church.
