Charlotte B. Dartt

PORTAGE  -- Charlotte B. Dartt, age 93, of Portage, passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2010 at Divine Savior Healthcare Extended Care.

Charlotte was born on April 23, 1916 in Packwaukee, Wisconsin, the daughter of Charles and Charlotte “Lottie” (Gage) Barton.  She was married to Thomas Dartt, who preceded her in death on December 31, 1969.  Charlotte had worked for Kroger Food Store, and also Weyenberg Shoe Mfg.  She was a member of Portage United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, the Pansy Rebekah Lodge #106, Portage Odd Fellows, and the Pythian Sisters.

She is survived by her daughter, Berniece (Emil) Fosnow, Portage;  two grandchildren, Tammie (Allan) Maxwell, Wausau, and Wayne (Leslie) Sainsbury, Janesville;  five great-grandchildren, Amanda (Antony) Mulry, Spencer Maxwell, Madison Maxwell, Nicholas Sainsbury, and Brooke Sainsbury;  two great-great-grandchildren, Devon and Alexis;  her very dear friend, Marge Wilson;  other relatives and many friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Thomas, and her brother, Charles Barton.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at Portage United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Tom Countryman officiating.  Inurnment will be private.  Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the church.
