Ada A. Poster

WYOCENA  --  Ada A. Poster, age 89, of Madison, died on Friday, January 29, 2010, at Columbia Health Care Center, in Wyocena.

Ada was born on December 4, 1920 in Almena, Wisconsin, the daughter of Fred and Juliana (Ostermann) Schmidt.   She was married to Carl D. Poster.  Ada was employed at Neesvig’s Packing Co. and the Bavarian Sausage Kitchen.  She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Madison.

Ada is survived by her children, Julie (Dieter) Jensen, Pardeeville, Carl K. (Priscilla) Poster, Scotland; her grandchildren, Dan (Deanna) Jensen, Petaluma, CA, and Pam (Tim) Weiss, Portage, her great-grandchildren, Kyra and Ryan Jensen, and Carly and Nicole Weiss, her sister-in-law, Barbara Schmidt, Racine, nieces, nephews, and many good friends.  Ada was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Carl, her brothers, Adolph, and Herman and her sisters, Helen, Olga, and Alma.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 20, 2010 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 322 E. Washington Ave., in Madison. Private interment will be held at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service, at the church.  Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage is assisting the family.

The family suggests that memorials may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church in Madison.
