James P. Kleist

PORTAGE/POYNETTE  --  James P. Kleist, age 53, of Poynette, died on Monday, December 7, 2009 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison.

Jim was born on January 19, 1956 in Portage, the son of James and Inez Lucille (Packard) Kleist.  He had worked for Columbia Electric for 33 years, was an avid outdoorsman, loving to hunt and fish.  Jim was a very kind man, and had a gentle soul.

Jim is survived by his son, Jason E. Kleist, Poynette;  his brother, James (Marie) Buzzell, Alamogordo, NM; his sisters, Donna (Mike) LaFluer, New Richmond, and Deloris Weishoff, Alamogordo, NM, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

Memorial services will be held at a later date.  The Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage is assisting the family.
