Myles Ryan Schumann

PARDEEVILLE  -- Myles Ryan Schumann, age 2 months, passed away peacefully in his mother’s arms, surrounded by family due to complications from Pelizaeus-Merzbacher disease on Sunday, May 31, 2009 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Portage, with the Rev. Alan Boeck officiating.  Private burial will take place in Marcellon Cemetery.  Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the church.

Myles was born on March 10, 2009 in Madison, the son of Amanda L. Schumann.  Even though Myles was only with us for a brief time, he has forever touched our hearts.  He especially loved being held and talked to.  He is survived by his mother, Amanda, Pardeeville; grandparents, Jerry Schumann, Pardeeville, Lori Schumann (Ken Grigsby),  Pardeeville; great-grandparents, Gladys Krueger, Pardeeville, Helen Schumann, Pardeeville; uncle, Jeremey Schumann, Pardeeville; aunts, Emily Schumann, Pardeeville, Dione Schumann, Endeavor, Lacey Anderson Kuhn, Pardeeville; cousin, Coltan Myers, Endeavor; and many other great aunts, great uncles, cousins, and other special friends. He was preceded in death by his great grandfathers, Alonzo Schumann in 1993 and Roger Krueger in 1980.

We would like to give special thanks to the extra caring nursing staff in the Pediatric Intensive Care Center at St. Mary’s Hospital.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be given to St. John’s Lutheran Church to help offset medical expenses.

Time may pass and we may part, but forever Myles will be in our hearts.
