Marian Rose Redell

POYNETTE  --  Marian Rose Redell, age 77, passed away on Monday, March 23, 2009 at the Caring Hearts Assisted Living Facility in Poynette, after a long illness.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, March 27, 2009 at the Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Poynette, with the Rev. Paul Strickert officiating.  Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service at 1:30 p.m. on Friday at the Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Poynette.

Marian was born on November 27, 1931 in Poynette, to Clarence and Luella (Schutz) Millard, their only child.  She graduated from Poynette High School and married her high school sweetheart, Robert Redell on August 12, 1950 in the Poynette Presbyterian Church.  She worked for the Madison Newspapers in her early years.  The most important aspects of her life were being a homemaker;  raising her three children;  and being a wonderful caregiver to her parents and others.  Marian was a teacher’s aide for the Poynette Middle School, retiring in May, 1995.  She was a member of Poynette Presbyterian Church. 

She is survived by her husband, Robert;  three children, Rita (Larry) Wells of Arlington, Ron (Carol) Redell of Poynette, and Renee (Chad) Norton of Pasadena, California;  eight grandchildren, Brian (Traci) Wells, Brandon Wells;  Alex, Jack, Madeline and Claire Redell;  Caitlin and Carly Norton;  two great-grandchildren, Hunter and Justin Wells;  other relatives and many close friends. 

The family extends their deepest appreciation to Norma Jean Schmudlach and her staff at Caring Hearts for all the love and care given to Marian.

The family requests memorials be made in Marian’s name to Caring Hearts Assisted Living, 208 W. North Street, Poynette, WI, or the Poynette Presbyterian Church, Poynette.

A Mother’s love is like a rose, as time goes by its beauty grows – one of life’s most precious gifts.  It’s love that makes our memories too precious to forget.
