Eleanora D. “Noni” Koss

PORTAGE  -- Eleanora D. “Noni” Koss, age 85, of Portage, died on Monday, August 3, 2009 at Divine Savior Healthcare Hospital.

Eleanora was born on November 12, 1923 in Ft. Winnebago Township, Wisconsin, the daughter of George, Sr. and Tillie (Hohlstein) Kluge.  She was married on September 28, 1946 to Harold E. Koss.  Eleanora was a wonderful mother and grandmother.  She liked baking and gardening;  and loved flowers, music and dancing.

She is survived by her sons, Dennis (Niece) Koss, Gary Koss, and Gregory (Renee) Koss;  two grandsons, three granddaughters, four step-grandsons, three great grandchildren;  other near relatives and many friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Harold on October 2, 1971, and her son, Conrad in 1959.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 7, 2009 at the Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage, with the Rev. Alan Boeck officiating.  Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Friday at the Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
