Clarence O. Kluth

PORTAGE  --  Clarence O. Kluth, age 81, of Portage, died on Monday, April 13, 2009 at Divine Savior Healthcare Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 17, 2009 at the Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage, with the Rev. Tom Countryman officiating.  Burial will follow in Silver Lake Cemetery, with military graveside services provided by Portage area veterans.  Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Friday at the Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage.

Clarence was born on May 6, 1927 in Montello, Wisconsin, the son of Oscar and Marie (Ferge) Kluth.  He was a U.S. Army Veteran, having served during World War II.  Clarence had worked at Flambeau Plastics in Baraboo for many years, retiring in 1989.

He is survived by his daughter, Jean Fandrich, Simi Valley, CA;  his grandson, Daniel Fandrich, Vernal, Utah;  his great-granddaughter, Danielle Fandrich;  his brother, Gordon Kluth, Portage;  other near relatives and many close friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Lucille, his brother, Emory Kluth, and his grandson, Brad Fandrich.
