Donald E. Hornung

LODI  --  Donald E. Hornung, age 88, of Lodi, died on Thursday, May 7, 2009 at the Lodi Good Samaritan Center in Lodi.

Private Memorial Services will be held.  Inurnment will take place at Hillside Cemetery in Poynette.  The Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Poynette is assisting the family. 

Donald was born on March 3, 1921, in Hamilton, Ohio, to Edwin and Alma Hornung.  He worked as a furniture refinisher.  Donald married Theresa Ferrie on June 6, 1987 in Trenton, Ohio.  He was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Poynette. 

Survivors include his wife, Theresa, his 9 step-children, 32 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Ralph, his sister, Margaret, his step daughters, Linda and Margaret, and his step-grandchildren, Matthew and Michael.
