William F. Fry, Sr.

OXFORD  -- William F. Fry, Sr., age 65, of the Township of Oxford, passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2009 at Divine Savior Healthcare Hospital in Portage.  Bill lived most of his life in Rockford, Illinois.

William was born on September 22, 1944 in Stoughton, Wisconsin, the son of Stanley and Julia Fry.  He was married to the former Deborah Specht on May 3, 1975.  William was a driver for USF Holland for many years.  He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 695.  William enjoyed fishing, working outdoors, and being around his family.

Survivors include his wife, Deborah;  three children, Dawn (Toby) Adams, Brooks, Wisconsin, William (Cassie) Fry, Jr., Wisconsin Dells, and Steven (Joy) Fry, Rockford, Illinois;  three grandchildren, Trinity Fry, Cody Fry, and Alyssa Fry;  two sisters, Judy Hoffman, Chicago, and Patty (Jack) Williams, Machesney Park, Illinois.  Bill was truly loved by his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and many close friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Mary McBride and Rita Clark, and his brother, John “Jack” Fry.

Services will be private.  The Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage is assisting the family.
