Rose Marie Tomlinson

PORTAGE – Rose Marie Tomlinson, 87, passed away peacefully at Our House in Portage on Friday, August 17, 2018, surrounded by her loving family.

Rose was born on October 7, 1930, in Portage, the daughter of Lyle and Mildred (Hibner) Bitney. She was united in marriage to Calvin C. Tomlinson on November 6, 1948. She worked for the Oconomowoc Canning Company in Poynette from 1968 to 1988. Rose enjoyed dancing, crafts, snowmobiling, and spending time in the north woods.

She is survived by her sons, Bob (Karol) Tomlinson, Poynette, Gary (Cindy) Tomlinson, Golden, CO; grandchildren, Kari (Jim) Langkamp, Baraboo, Wayne (Laura) Tomlinson, Evergreen, CO, Eric (Adam Pfost) Tomlinson, Madison; great-grandchildren, Graham Langkamp and Annie Langkamp, both of Baraboo; River Tomlinson of Evergreen, CO; sister, Nellie Thiessen of Portage; other relatives and many close friends. Rose was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Calvin.

An open house will be held at Our House, 215 Northridge Dr., Portage, on Sunday, August 19, 2018, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Inurnment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, a memorials may be made to Agrace Hospice Care, Poynette Fastpitch Org., or any charity of your choice in Rose’s name.

The family would like to thank the staff at Our House, Agrace Hospice Care and Dr. Antonio Escabado-Morse for their care and support.
