Earl E. Fredrick

MOUNDVILLE TOWNSHIP – Earl E. Fredrick, 82, passed away peacefully at his home in Endeavor on Friday, October 19, 2018, surrounded by his loving family.

Earl was born on December 22, 1935, in Marquette County, the son of Emil and Erna (Hutler) Fredrick. He was married to Wilma Jean Wagner and, together, they owned and operated a school bus company for 42 years.  He also drove a milk truck, owned an excavating business, snowmobile dealership and the Oasis Bar in Endeavor. He loved to work! Jack of all trades that he was, Earl found time to attend many meetings, enjoy softball, antique cars, snowmobiling, crop farming, flower gardening and hunting. He was a snowmobile club member, trail landowner, and host of the trail warming house.

He is survived by his son, Allen Earl (June) Fredrick; grandchildren, Michael (AnnE) Fredrick, Daniel (Megan) Fredrick; great-grandchildren, Crosby Michael Fredrick, an expected great-granddaughter, Macie Kendall, Maxwell Robert and Myles Daniel Fredrick; other relatives and many friends.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Jean; parents, mother- and father-in-law, Geraldine and Carl Wagner; siblings, Robert Fredrick, Dorothy Schwochert, and an infant sister.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 26, 2018, at Moundville United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Aaron Alfred officiating.  Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Endeavor.  Visitation will be at Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage on Thursday, October 25, 2018, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Moundville United Methodist Church.

The family would like to thank the staff at the UW Burn Care Unit, UW Hematology Oncology Unit, Nan Hinze, Lindsay Patten and the staff at Harris Villa, Dr. Jill Pogorelec, Megan Fry, Ginger and the Divine Savior Hospital infusion staff, Divine Savior Hospital rehab/would care caretakers: Dani Hess, Shirley Scherbert, Brenda Scherbert, Rita Maass; Agrace Hospice staff: Cindy, Kim, Erin, Lindsay and Gloria; spiritual support and prayers: Moundville United Methodist Pastor Aaron Alfred and friends, Portage  United Methodist Church, Pastor Tom Countryman and friends, and Gloria from Agrace Hospice.

Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage is assisting the family.
