Zandria Mueller Van Ness

On Saturday, July 12, 2014, Zandria Mueller Van Ness, passed away at UWHC in Madison, Wisconsin.  Zandria, age 54, was a well-liked employee of Cardinal Glass FG in Portage, where she was the lead cook and enjoyed working with everyone.  Born in LaCrosse, Wisconsin, Zandria was a graduate of LaCrosse Central High School and Western Wisconsin Technical Institute.  Receiving a two-year degree in food service management, she served as cook, shift supervisor and restaurant manager in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Virginia.  She was an excellent cook and baker.

Always able to make friends, Zandria had a positive out-look on life.  She was dear to her friends, and always ready to lend a hand to those in need.  Zandria was a loving companion to her husband, Randy.

Zandria was an animal lover, having given homes to both cats and dogs.  She had a very strong attachment to beagles and dearly loved all the dogs they shared.

Being an avid collector of Campbell Soup memorabilia, Zandria had quite a collection spilling over from her kitchen to her dining room.  No matter where she lived she was always a huge Packer fan.

Preceded in death by her father, Tom, and Aunt Marion;  Zandria is survived by her husband, Randy Van Ness;  her mother, Clarice Mueller;  sister, Trink (Mike) Copsey;  brother, Jay Mueller;  nieces, Stephanie Mueller and Kelly Copsey;  nephew, Josh Mueller;  brother-in-law, Reed (Mary) Van Ness and their family;  and sister-in-law, Jennifer Van Ness.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at Portage United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Tom Countryman and the Rev. David Hankins co-officiating.  Inurnment will be in Garden Bluff Cemetery, Township of West Point.  Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at the church.
