Janet M. Rodenkirch

WYOCENA / PORTAGE  --  Janet M. Rodenkirch, age 77, of Wyocena, passed away on Sunday, June 22, 2014 at the Columbia Health Care Center in Wyocena.

Janet was born on November 16, 1936 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the daughter of Walter and Hertha (Poweleit) Billington.  She had worked for many years at the University of Wisconsin.  Janet enjoyed shopping, and was an avid “food pusher” – she always had a full fridge;  no matter what time you showed up.  She loved spending time with her family, extended family, and her friends.

Janet is survived by her children, Mark (Vicki) Schiradelly, Baraboo, Kathy Schiradelly, and Ron (Terri) Rodenkirch, Sun Prairie;  her grandchildren, Rusty (Jennifer) Schiradelly, Wyocena, Christie Schiradelly, Reedsburg, Bruce Schiradelly, Baraboo, Ryan Rodenkirch, Gillette, and Chelsey Rodenkirch, Sun Prairie;  four great-grandchildren;  other near relatives and many close friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her sons, Brian in infancy and Michael Schiradelly in 2006, and her sister, Carmen Atkinson.    

Memorial services will be at 12:00 noon on Friday, June 27, 2014 at the Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage.  Inurnment will be private.  Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon on Friday at the funeral home.
