Erin “Molly” (Moll) Lerch

DE FOREST  /  POYNETTE  --  Erin “Molly” (Moll) Lerch, age 34, of DeForest, passed away on Tuesday, September 30, 2014, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Erin was born on October 4, 1979 in Madison, to Wayne and Marilyn (Klaila) Moll.  After graduating from Poynette High School, she worked as a nursing assistant at University of WI Hospital for several years.  In 2011, she was admitted into the nursing program at Marion College and had one semester left prior to being diagnosed.  Unfortunately she was unable to finish due to her illness, but in the hearts of her friends, families and colleagues she has her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.

Erin married her best friend, Chad Lerch, on July 3, 2010.  Together they enjoyed spending their time fishing, riding the Harley, doing yardwork, boating with friends, and attending music concerts, such as Country on the River.  Erin also loved to go out to the Klaila farm where she gardened and would sing at the top of her lungs while mowing the lawn.  She will always be remembered for her huge heart, contagious smile, her willingness to stand up for anyone in need, her quick wit and sense of humor, and most of all her strength and grace that she showed during her fight against cancer.

Erin is survived by her husband of 4 years, Chad Lerch, her parents, Wayne and Marilyn Moll, Poynette, her mother-in-law, Veronica Lerch, Arlington, and her father-in-law, Dennis (Kathleen) Lerch, Poynette.  She is further survived by her sister, Angie Moll, Stoughton, her brother, Kyle (Kate) Moll, LaCrosse, her grandmother, Genevieve Moll, Rio, her sisters-in-law, Casey (Jeremy) Hathaway, Poynette, Crystal (Nick) Hartman, Arlington, and Codie (fiance’, Gary Kroening) Lerch, Poynette, her brother-in-law, Clint Lerch, Poynette, her Goddaughter, Kloie Hathaway, and her nieces and nephews, Vance Hathaway, McKenzie and Gage Hartman, Kayle Lerch, and Ashton Lerch.  She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, other close relatives and friends.

Erin was preceded in death by her paternal grandpa, J. Donald Moll, her maternal grandparents, Jack and Verna Klaila, and her Godfather, Uncle John Moll.

A visitation will be held at Zion Evangelical Church, W6906 County Road K, Arlington, WI from 3 – 6 p.m. on Sunday, October 5, 2014 as well as on Monday, October 6, 2014 from 10 – 11 a.m.  A church service will be at 11 a.m., with Pastor Jacob Scott officiating.

A very special thank you to Erin’s “Dream Team”, Noelle, Kathy, and Sandy, the UW Carbone Cancer Center, the staff of F6/5 at the University Hospital and Agrace Hospice for the compassionate care during her last days on this earth.  Thanks also to family and friends for all of the love and support given to the family;  words cannot express how much it was truly appreciated.
