Barbara J. Johnson

 

TOWNSHIP OF PACIFIC  /  PORTAGE  --  Barbara J. Johnson, age 64, of the Township of Pacific, passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg.

Barbara was born on November 11, 1949 in Portage, the daughter of John A. and Jean M. (Griffin) Kerr.  She was married to Daniel Johnson on August 10, 1968, celebrating 46 years of a wonderful marriage.  She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Portage.  Barb enjoyed spending time at the farm, and being with family.

She is survived by her husband and best friend, Dan;  her daughters, Kimberly (Jeff) Tessmann, Montello, and Reiko (fiancé, Chad Mumm) McTier, Portage;  her grandchildren, Daniel Gulbranson, Garet McTier, Katie Gulbranson, Gavin McTier, Eddy Gulbranson, Maggie Gulbranson, Danielle Mumm, and Maddie Mumm;  her brother, John Kerr, Portage;  other relatives and many close friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Portage, with Deacon Dennis Sutter officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at the Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage.

The family would like to thank all of Barb’s doctors for their excellent care, and her family and friends for their outpouring love and support.
