Emmett H. Apel

WISCONSIN DELLS  /  PORTAGE  --  Emmett H. Apel, age 74, of Newport Township, passed away on Monday, October 6, 2014 at his home.

Emmett was born on October 27, 1939 in Milwaukee, the son of Emmett and Florence (Nuernberg) Apel. He was married to Barbara Buchholz on June 30, 1997 in Baxter, Arkansas.  Emmett retired from Milwaukee Transit Company.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping.  They loved to travel.

He is survived by his wife,  Barb;  his children, Linda (Kevin) Cowan, Emmett (Chris) Apel, and Sandra (Greg) Raschig;  his step-children, Kathy (Chad) Fryjoff, and Tina Worgull;  fourteen grandchildren;  six great-grandchildren;  his sister, Barbara Wise;  nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents.
